FAQ's

  • Don’t I have to be ridiculously fit before I can even start Class?
    Not at all! Motion is for EVERYONE - it doesn’t matter if you haven’t exercised in years. You work to your level. Everyone starts somewhere and the only way to get better is to start your journey.
  • I’ve been going to the gym/doing sport for years, do I still need to do fundamentals before joining in CrossFit classes?"
    Yes, even if you have sport and fitness experience you will need to take part in our fundamentals. This is because there are lots of movements specific to CrossFit which you may not of done before. It is as much for the coaches as it is for you, they want to get to know you and understand your level before you’re in the main classes.
  • Why is there no membership option for doing 1 class a week?
    There are two reasons for this. 1) We want you to reach your goals. - It’s hard to achieve this if you’re only coming to the gym once a week. 2) We want you to be part of our family. - community is a huge part of what makes us us. We want all our members to feel like they are part of the family, this is harder to achieve with people drifting in and out.
  • Can I just use the gym without having to do any classes?
    We don’t have a membership option without classes. This is because we want to be confident that everyone is moving well and training smart. As well as this we want to create a community which means everyone getting involved together!
  • I want to join but I’m unable to do some of the movements due to injury or disability, what should I do?"
    We would love to have you! All movements are scalable and adaptable so we can make fitness work for you. We would however recommend you send us an email and find a time to come in and meet one of the team so we can figure out the best route for you - whether that’s Personal Training or classes.
  • I’m not seeing what I’m looking for on the timetable.
    Don’t worry if you’re looking for speciality classes or a time that isn’t currently available. We conduct member surveys every 6 months. If our members want something we will do our best to accommodate them. If it is a specific element or skill you’re wishing to work on we recommend you get in contact with one of our coaches and book in some 1 on 1 sessions.
  • Do you have changing rooms and showers?
    Yes we have brand new toilets, showers and changing facilities on site.
  • Do you have parking on site?
    Yes, we share a large car park on site which can be used for our members and customers.
  • Can I pause my membership?
    You can cancel or pause your membership at any time but it will be paused for the entire month.
  • If i don’t use all my sessions one week do they roll over into the next?
    Sorry, no roll over. Try and make the most out of every week!
